Description
This is one example of a few types of pop-up cards constructions employed by our designer Jacek-Maria. The parts are intricately joined without glue, creating a paper sculpture that opens up under its weight. Each intricate paper mechanism is created in Chicago and manually assembled from 12 to 30+ pieces.
Big size may have the opposite impact not only from practical point of view. The display and than storage may be the problem (What am I going do with it?) I still remember the viewers very first comments when they saw for the first time a line of glass Christmas ornaments I used to design.
Small is beautiful and there is no second thoughts regarding the practical side of such greeting card/gift. The small intimate size (fits 6″x9″ envelope) makes it not only easy to store but most importantly to keep in view for long periods of time. It is more desirable.
