#64 Lilies, Pop-up greeting card bouquet.

$12.99

Lilies have many symbolic meanings. Lilies symbolize love, purity, fertility, and rebirth. Often associated with renewal, and transience. In Christianity, the Madonna Lily represents the Virgin Mary’s purity. The lily is the national flower of Italy and is featured on the country’s emblem. It symbolises unity and peace.

There are over 100 individual species of lilies.

Common names are: orange lily, fire lily, Jimmy’s Bane, tiger lily and St. John’s Lily…

Beyond the spiritual, there is the beauty of the flower so well filling our spaces. Not only physically but also in our hearts. Regardless of the occasion or our intentions, they are a beautiful addition to any anniversary, birthday, or just any occasion.

Description

Big size does not always count. Most impactful are small. With Big, people are missing the intimate/spiritual impact of a gift. Small is beautiful, like a piece of intricate jewelry. The small size (fitting a 6″x9″ envelope) makes it easy to store and keep in view for long periods.

You will find many versions of pop-ups, all based on one simple construction where parts are glued together with vertical connections to be viewed only from the side. Most are made in China or Vietnam and based on the same simple Chinese pop-up construction.

Our designer Jacek-Maria created our unique paper sculptures so the parts can cover the space in almost any direction. The leaves are intricately joined without glue, creating a paper sculpture that opens up under its weight. Each paper mechanism is created in Chicago and manually assembled from 12 to 30 pieces.
